A momentous moment in the history of cricket as we celebrated the past by remembering the 1971 semi-final between Lancashire and Gloucestershire, which is widely considered as one of the greatest ever Gillette Cup games, as well as an opportunity for us to invest in the future. Money raised from the event will support us and the Lancashire Cricket Foundation in our mission to enhance the lives of young people through the game of cricket and increase the number who play our great game. Former players from both teams were present, whilst David Hughes and Mike Procter were interviewed to reminisce about their memories of the game. We also had Mark Nicholas as one of our special guests and Harold Dennis “Dickie” Bird were able to attend in person, whilst  Stephen Fry sent through a prerecorded message especially for the event. Click here to watch a video of the highlights from the event. We will be producing a souvenir video which will include exclusive interviews from the main players as well as some personal highlights and lowlights from Mike. We anticipate that the video will be available at the start of August.
